Every guy who goes to the gym goes there with a purpose, whether they're aware of it or not. The purpose usually isn't to get as strong and healthy, fit and lean as possible. It can be to get as big as they can, but I contend there's a deeper reason hidden in the motives of every gym rat, and that would be to become altogether more attractive to women.

This I feel is what's at the core of most men’s desires to go to the gym. They may say otherwise, but when it comes time to strap on the fancy clothes for a night on the town, they are intently aware just how much they need their workout program, because what happens a great deal of the time, is that they'll be out in a social situation, and despite the fact that they may be the most eligible, financially sound, clever and coolest guy in the room, they consistently lose out to the guy who walks in sporting a classic “V” shape physique, brimming with confidence. The sound of other guys shrinking into the background is nearly audible! This of course isn't fair, but who said life was fair?

The idea that we must build up huge chests, shoulders and biceps in order to be thought of as fit or attractive has gone by the wayside. Research has clearly shown that this type of build isn't what is ultimately attractive to women in the first place. More to the point is a classic build, one with broad shoulders tapering down to a trim waist, with a well-defined chest and abs in between. This is the classic “V” shape, which has been revered through the centuries, and used by artists to depict the ideal male form. Michelangelo’s “David” is an example of this and there are countless others both in art and architecture.

And like everything else in nature, there is a formula or design to this. This classic shape can be reached by adhering to what is known as the “Golden Ratio”, which speaks to the measurements of the shoulders and waist, according to a mans height. This Golden Ratio has been around forever, and is even applicable to processes in nature. It is expressed as 1:1.618 and when used in a workout program, yields the type of form we're talking about.

The kind of ideal male physique I'm seeking to create can only be achieved through a workout I call “The Adonis Index”. Power lifting alone won't do it, cardio by itself can't achieve it, and sports-specific exercises fall short of developing the total form. This is a program designed to use several different training methods to emphasize the balance and form indicated by the Golden Ratio. It involves intelligent training, along with a sensible diet. It meets every man where they are and takes them where they want to be! Take a look at it today!
